By Kathy Broady MSW 7 Comments

Happy New Year!!   Hello, hello! How was this past year?  Was it a good year for you?  Was it a rough year for you?  Hmmmm….  Do you remember what kind of year it was for you?  Teasing.  :)   That was a silly little joke for dissociative people,   .   Everyone, quick – check inside.  Do they know how your year was?   All kidding aside....   If you are unsure or blank, try asking your inside … [Read more...]

By Kathy Broady MSW 30 Comments

You probably thought I was going to talk about kids, or children, or babies. And I might. But first, what about newborn puppies? This post is partly for fun -- because you know I just can’t resist sharing more pictures of my puppies ! But to be fair, I do have a few thoughts related to trauma issues when I look at these pictures.  I am starting to think that I might just have to make a “puppy series”.  :) First, … [Read more...]

Let Sleeping Dogs Lie – or not?!

By Kathy Broady MSW 18 Comments

Let sleeping dogs lie…. We’ve all heard the phrase said over and over.   It means to leave something the way it is because disturbing it would cause more trouble or additional complications.  Fine, fine, fine.  Maybe for today, I’ll not address the troublemakers in life.  Heaven knows, I’ve run into more than enough of my fair share of dogs that lie….  But ok, I’ll respect the wisdom of the phrase and for now, I … [Read more...]
