Do you need to speak with someone who truly understands DID?
Are you confused, and unsure if you are DID?
Do you have your own questions or concerns about what DID looks like, and how it may be impacting your life?
Would it be helpful to hear some feedback from someone who already hears perspectives from a dissociative system point of view?
Are you tired of wasting your time and energy on therapeutic resources that don’t “get it”?
I am clinical social worker who has been working with trauma survivors with Dissociative Identity Disorder for over 30 years. YEP! I met my first person with DID waaaay back in the 80’s. Since then, I’ve spoken with hundreds of DIDer’s from all around the world, and yes, I would be honored to speak with you as well.
If I am new to you, let me also encourage you to check out my About Me or the Testimonials pages. Those pages of information will give you a little more background about me, and will help you decide if you can begin to trust me.
Discussing Dissociation has been around and available free to the public since Dec 2008. That’s a long time now! There are several books-worth of information available in the articles. You’ve possibly — potentially — been reading this blog, and hopefully it’s been very helpful for you. It’s a big, big blog… hosting hundreds of articles, thousands of comments by other readers, tons of information about Dissociative Disorders, related topics, related resources, and even DID forums.
Even with all that great information, you might still need to personalize your search a little bit more. You might still have questions that pertain exactly and specifically to you and your system. You might not know how to do what I’m talking about in all those blog articles.
I can help you with that!
How?
Let me tell you.
How I Can Help You

I consider myself to be a Systems Specialist in working with Dissociative Systems.
I do not know all the answers, but during a DID Systems Consultation, I can certainly help you to get a little closer to figuring out some of the hard stuff. I will have some ideas about things to try that specifically match the situation you will be describing to me.
I have been listening to dissociative trauma survivors for a very, very, very long time.
I have more than 30 years experience working with people who struggle with Dissociative Disorders, interacting with these trauma survivors in all types of settings — outpatient, inpatient, individuals, groups, couples, spouse support groups, in-person sessions, distance sessions, online therapy, email consultations, phone sessions, online forums, consultations with therapists, etc. I have learned so very much from talking with dissociative survivors and their loved ones.
I truly have been discussing dissociation, you see?!
Now I am ready and happy to assist you with your DID system questions. We can discuss your dissociation!
You won’t have to explain or justify your dissociative ways to me. I’ll understand right from the beginning. I completely agree that DID is a “real thing”, and I have no doubts whatsoever that it exists, and I fully understand that DID can create all kinds of struggles in your life. I’ll “get it” because I’ll probably know what you are talking about.
In my opinion, there aren’t enough people out there in the world who are accepting of people with dissociation, who understand Dissociative Identity Disorder, and who feel kindly towards dissociative trauma survivors. Those of us that do understand, need to stick together and work hard at helping healing happen.
You’ve probably already met some of the naysayers and deniers about DID — I am definitely not one of them. I am on YOUR side of the fence. I do not work with or for “the bad guys”. Believe me, “the creeps” don’t like me any more than I like them. !!!
I am someone who stands in full support of those trauma survivors who are invested in their healing and put great effort into resolving the ways dissociative issues negatively impact their lives.
I like to consult with trauma survivors who truly want to improve their lives, and are willing to do the work it takes to do so. Healing from DID takes a whopping lot of hard work. It’s definitely not easy. It’s a very tough road, and the healing process doesn’t always feel good.
And, I believe there is hope. I KNOW you can feel better than you do today. I KNOW your system can learn to cooperate together. I KNOW your system can function as a friendly team. I KNOW healing is possible.
I have seen dissociative trauma survivors reach a place of genuine peace and contentment in their lives. They found safety. They stopped the internal fights. They ended their self destructive ways. They began to enjoy living. It became okay to be alive. Life even feels good to them.
And yes, I believe that can happen for you too.
- It's not your fault you were hurt and shattered.
- It's NOT your fault that you are dissociative and split.
It was not okay that you were hurt as many times as you were. None of that should have happened. It was not right.
Where we go from that place of pain and brokenness is to address the troubles and complications that were unfairly given to you. You have already survived the worst of it. You’re bigger now. You have more resources, more options, more abilities.
- You CAN make a beautiful life for yourself, even from such rough beginnings.
- You CAN feel better.
- You CAN find moments of peace, gentleness, kindness, happiness.
- You CAN get respite, relief and release from your pain.
You do not have to live your whole life suffering.
It can get better than this!
My Approach to DID Healing

In my opinion, the very most important way to approach Dissociative Identity Disorder is to gain system cooperation through increasing internal communication and overall system communication. I will show you how to talk with your insiders, even the difficult or hidden ones, and from there, as a cohesive team, we can help to resolve the conflicts that you are feeling.
There’s a good chance I’ll be able to hear some of your insiders even when we speak on the phone, especially once you feel comfortable with me. They’ll certainly be listening, whether we can “hear them” or not! That doesn’t scare me, it doesn’t worry me, it doesn’t offend me. I am completely comfortable in talking with you AND your system. Besides, you all come as one DID system group anyway, and as I show you ways to talk to your insiders, you will learn how to do that as well.
The better your system communicates, the better you can work as a team together, and then the better you can resolve any of the troubles that are happening in your life, inside and out.
I do not focus on memory work or trauma recall as the center of the healing process. Of course, some memory work is needed, no doubt about it. But it’s not the first step in the process, and certainly not the main step. I believe system work must come before memory work. Your internal team has to be working together before you can deal with the harsh realities of the trauma experienced.
Doing intense memory work while your insiders are still in conflict with each other, and at war with each other, and fighting with each other only creates more fights with each other. This leads to more self injury, more troubles in the outside world, etc. It keeps your system in chaos and destabilization in your life. Who needs more of THAT?!
When your internal team is working well together, it’s a completely different picture inside.
Comfort, kindness and healing can be introduced instead of more pain. Your outside world is more manageable, and you can accomplish much, much more.
In my opinion, system work and internal communication are the fundamental keys of working with Dissociative Identity Disorder.
That’s what I do.
How does that sound to you?

Request a Phone Consultation
- You would like to consult with someone who understands a great deal about dissociative systems.
- You would like to apply what you are learning in the written articles, but are unsure how.
- You would to like to improve your system communication because you feel stuck, isolated, or separated from your insiders.
- You would like to know how to get around the blocks and walls you are feeling inside, but are not sure what to do.
- You prefer to learn some new approaches to working with your system instead of wasting more time doing the same thing with minimal results.
- You need some reassurance or a second opinion about whether or not you are approaching your system issues in an effective way.
- You have a private question that you do not want to discuss in the public blog comment areas.
- You have a particularly difficult insider creating trouble in your everyday life, and you and your system need some ideas for how to manage this situation.
- You and your system have been reading this blog, and you or your insiders want to know if I am a genuine, real person.
- You and your system can learn more about the concepts I teach by having a legitimate, tangible connection and relationship with me where I talk directly with you and your people while explaining helpful ways of accomplishing system communication.
- You and your system can apply more of what you are learning here once you have experienced and practiced a tangible demonstration of the internal communication process by relating it to your specific situation.
- You and your system need someone to touch base with while your regular therapist is away, on vacation, out of town, or unavailable for an uncomfortable amount of time.
- You are a therapist, counselor, or mental health professional and you need consultation about some of your dissociative clients.
- You are the spouse or a loved one of a dissociative trauma survivor, and you need support or education about how to manage life with someone who is DID.
- You want to learn more about DID system work and developing internal communication for any reason not already mentioned.
- You are comfortable consulting with an MSW Social Worker, previously licensed in Texas as an LCSW, now residing in Australia, who initially learned about DID while working in Canada.
- You are stable enough, and safe enough, to manage a Consultation call with me, knowing I will discuss genuine issues with you, and you have resources, coping skills, and support available to you should you feel upset afterwards.
Please note: If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or acute struggles with self-injury, this Consultation option will not allow for a quick enough response to meet your needs adequately. Please call your local therapist or local emergency options for more immediate assistance.
Also, if your local therapist is opposed to your having a Consultation with me, please resolve that conflict with him or her before scheduling a time with me. Your local therapist comes first, and they are your primary contact. I am not interested in undermining your therapy process.
I am coming from the perspective of being a helpful team player, and as an occasional DID Systems Specialist / DID Consultant resource. I am certainly not taking over the lead of your therapy process nor am I willing to create friction between you and your regular therapist!
What do you think about all that?
Does that work for you?
