Healing My Parts Podcast
Episode 19
Interview with Kathy Broady
(Part 1)
As promised in the DID Awareness Day article, the Healing My Parts Podcast Interview, Part 1 is now available for you to hear!
Healing My Parts is a fantastic new podcast series. Better yet, the host of Healing My Parts Podcast is a talented, eloquent, and highly functional dissociative system. She’s well informed and creates an easy, comfortable space to talk. Healing My Parts already has lots of great interviews. I’ve had the chance to listen to a few of them — awesome stuff. Do listen when you can!
It was, most certainly, a genuine honor to be invited as a guest speaker on this podcast. Thank you!

Healing My Parts, Episode 19
(Transcript available at the podcast. I’ll add a link for the transcript here ASAP).
** VIDEO coming soon.
Please note! This conversation was not pre-planned or purposefully designed — you’ll be able to tell that as we casually meander around on a bunch of different topics. We really were just having a good ol’ conversation, and chatting up a storm. I hope you find it interesting and helpful.
Hopefully, you’ll catch a few nuggets that hit home for you.
Below, I’ve listed alphabetically, not sequentially, some of the topics we touched on during this first hour of conversation.
- About denial, and what makes that information real?
- Asking your system for information, then trying to decide which answer is real.
- Deciphering dissociative art — who drew what?
- Different ways to see switching.
- Do you have more parts inside than you realize?
- Finding beauty in the dissociative life.
- How amnesia looks in a dissociative system.
- Integration, fusion, or functional multiplicity?
- Is it disturbing to start noticing what happens in your “lost time”?
- Is it progress or chaos to get more of your personal story and system info?
- Is it progress to meet new parts?
- People or parts? Which is it?
- Telling a dissociative system not to switch?
- What if you don’t know who is presenting?
- When I meet someone new, am I making up a new part?
- When it feels like it’s getting worse….!
- When you lose a piece of time or information, then what?
Again, three cheers and a giant Thank You to Healing My Parts for giving me the opportunity to speak, and to talk freely, and to address some questions and topics. I could talk with you for days! I truly appreciate your invitation to get together, and I hope we’ve contributed positively to the world of people willing to learn about dissociation, DID, and as you say, Dissociative identities. 🙂
To you who are reading and listening, I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments about this podcast. Please comment below if you would be willing to contribute your feedback.
And, for those of you walking the dissociative healing path, I hope this podcast gives you a little more comfort and encouragement as you go on your healing journey.
I wish you the best!
Warmly,
Kathy
