P4 ’24 is About to Start. Look what’s happening this year!

Yep, wow!   It is already almost that time again! 

The P4 DID-inspired Retreat for dissociative survivors is just a hop and a skip away, and all kinds of exciting options are in place.

Every year are plans get better and better, and this year, we are including time with horses!

I’m so excited to announce that horses are involved this year!   We’ve all heard how equine-related activities are incredibly healing, and while the P4 Retreat: TEXAS 2024 has many unique features, introducing one-on-one time with horses feels wonderful.

Of course, all the usual fun retreat activities are planned as well, but our Texas venue allows for us to have some unique adventures.

• We have a private lake for peace and tranquility.
• We have enough canoes for everyone to paddle along if they so choose.
• We have a pool table to have use.
• We have a labyrinth to walk.
• We have hiking trails to explore.
• We have acres of space to enjoy – we won’t be crowded at all!
• We have the opportunity to go zip lining again!
• We’re riding a wagon-bus to see hundreds of animals, including Texas Long Horns, of course.
• We have a security gate, security cameras and a long private drive.
• We have both fancy housing and rustic housing, including budget-friendly options.
• Not one, but two pianos.   Oh, that sounds like fun for me!

Of course, we’ll also be doing our usual DID-inspired activities as well:

• Having amazing group discussions
• Doing DID System skits
• Sharing meals together
• Doing art projects, writing projects, and collage
• Q&A answers and discussions re: DID Education
• Kids story time, because your kiddos will be there too
• A teen-themed evening, and maybe a dance party!
• Oh, and don’t forget about the Clay Board!  It will be there.
• Cookie Day is back!  With two kitchens, we get to share your favorite treats.
• Puzzle-themed activities related to DID System Work. This is still a Discussing Dissociation event after all, lol.
• Enjoying time with House Mom and our new Hawaiian Guest Cook.

FRIENDSHIPS will be built!

Besides all of the fun activities, one of the best aspects of the retreat is the community of dissociative trauma survivors having freedom to be themselves.  That includes having those deep and meaningful conversations with each other.  Where else can you go to feel so deeply, and immediately understood and not judged for who you are?!  The hours and hours and hours of survivor-support community interaction is the real  gem of the retreat.  Having the time and space to talk openly and safely with other dissociative folks is worth it’s weight in gold.

The P4 Retreat: TEXAS 2024 has a variety of options — different lengths of times, different housing choices, and a variety of costs.

Of course, we prefer to know you and meet with you ahead of time, so joining the DDCF Community Forum allows us all to have increased time for safety and connection.

And of course, if not this year, there is always next year!
