2021 Recap Video for Discussing Dissociation

You know… as hard as 2021 was, especially with our world still all shaken up and closed down by the Covid Pandemic, we still had an absolutely fantastic year here at Discussing Dissociation.  We did!  It’s been a wonderful year here.

The only reason we had such an amazing year here is become of the incredible community of dissociative survivors who come here regularly, faithfully, repeatedly, bringing a solid commitment to healing, incredible talents to share, a deep compassion and understanding for others who also live a dissociative life.  The readers, and all those who participate in the Discussing Dissociation / P4 DID events, are the true glue to this site.  The strength of community we see here is above all others, and I am continually humbled, and blessed, and honored to be surrounded by such incredible people.  Thank YOU for being here and for making our year 2021 so memorable.

Oh wait — y’all are dissociative.  Do you remember all the new things created in 2021?  lol — maybe not!

Fortunately, I was able to make a video that shows many of the new things — events, services, resources — that were all started in 2021.

Have a look at this VIDEO that shows a few of our highlights:

SO MANY WONDERFUL MOMENTS!

I could make 10 more videos showing hundreds of highlights.

In the year of 2021, we had everything from a NEW LOGO to a NEW CONFERENCE.

We even added a new website to the mix:  P4DIDConference.com — the new central home base for all the P4 event information.

We had 2 forum anniversaries — DDCF, DDEF — and created yet another forum — SSPA.

Discussing Dissociation Community Forum

Support for Spouses, Partners, Allies Forum

We’ve had a continual flow of new forum members, adding even deeper warmth, connection, life experience, and diversity into our communities.

We’ve had Zoom Groups and layers and layers of community support.

We’ve been talking lots — passing the milestone of 100,000 posts in the forums, and nearly 13,000 blog comments. That’s a lot of talking together!

We’ve enjoyed a new stream of amazing MultiMusic — music made by, and made for multiples.  Watch this new section on the Discussing Dissociation home page.  You’ll see more new DID-related music coming to you each and every month.

We have the new Real Little section starting for the littles people who read here.  Do you child parts need some ideas and healthy inspiration?  You’ll see new articles and activities posted in this new section every month as well.

Oh so many videos to share…

The year 2021 has so many good memories.

Check out the P4 DID Conference GALLERY.

We have loads of pictures and videos in the P4 Gallery, with a whole lot more on the way.  I’ve got soooo many more to load, but this job too, will happen.  (Probably once I enlist the help of the DD staff, thank goodness we have great admin people here!)

But no matter how many good memories I show you, the best part of 2021 has been the EXPERIENCING these events, the forums, the gatherings, the participants.  It’s the getting to know you, the people, that has made this year feel even more special than other years.   My time back in America has allowed me to do exactly that — to meet so many more of you — and I thoroughly appreciate that, more than you’ll ever know.

Thank YOU for making this site, this community, the kind of place that I am proud to show, and even more pleased to lead.  This is an amazing group of people.  Y’all are truly a beautiful people.  Thank you!

So…… Here comes 2022, and we’re already working on plans for the year ahead.  Oh – let me tell you some good news!  We’ll be adding an additional member to the Discussing Dissociation Client Care Team.  Our Awesome Email Alex has more than he can manage, so stay tuned to meet the new person joining our team soon.

Also….

Plans are already being made for our next P4 event, a P4 RETREAT:

Niagara Falls, Ontario.

13 – 15 May 2022

Wanna meet us in Canada in the middle of May?  You are welcome to join us!  This is a retreat, not a conference, and spots will be limited, so if you are interested, be sure to stay connected, and/or write in to Email Alex.

But even if you can’t get to Canada in May, we will certainly have more events later this year.

In the meantime, maybe the forums or any of our creative opportunities and resources will interest you.  If so, feel free to join us.  Our doors are open for you.

No matter what, just know we’ll be busy, busy, busy, adding more and more into 2022.

What are YOUR plans for 2022?

I wish you the very best in your 2022 journey!

Warmly,

Kathy

I agree with Tuck. Being reunited with your four-legged family was a highlight for me as well.
Just so many highlights but the best part was, and always has been for me here, is connection. Having a place to come and learn, share and just be simply complex multiple ME+WE is a blessing in my life.
I hold immense gratitude in my heart for you Kathy and your team remarkable Laura, Alex and Kerry. You guys are what keeps this place, this space safe, exciting, informative, compassionately engaging and an ever evolving adventure.
So much to look forward to this year.
    See y’all in Niagara Falls!

Our favorite part of 2021 was that you got you doggys back.
