The P4 DID Conference — HOW WAS IT ?
My words for it?
The P4 DID Conference was FANTASTIC.
I met oodles of new people. We had excellent conversations. The ART was totally incredible. The energy was amazing. The connections made were fun and fulfilling. We had a good time talking together — a really really good time.
From what I’ve heard, the P4 participants were energized, encouraged, and inspired to do even more with their DID systems. The therapists learned heaps, and we’ve all grown from our weekend together.

Hopefully, there was a lot of learning. There were certainly a million questions asked! Boy, oh boy, the P4 attendees were an inquisitive group. It felt like they asked me hundreds of questions. Maybe a million, lol. That was wonderful though — I was honoured to be asked.
Dr Amezcua-Patino MD from MetroNBI in Chandler Arizona gave his presentation about trauma and the brain via Zoom.
The complications of the Covid-19 pandemic were far-reaching and obvious. See us keeping our social distance? We were each assigned an individual table.

Laura popped in for Sunday to help share her brilliance. We were asked some hard questions, and we hope our answers were helpful.

We had the most AMAZING art displays — I can only show a few here today. The art contributions sent in by dissociative survivors and trauma therapists were truly phenomenal. The art reached our hearts in ways that are hard to explain.
Even watching the Art Videos brought tears to our eyes — they were truly powerful, and thank you for sharing your heart-art with us.
We participated in numerous activities in the Venue Room, including some writing exercises, musical moments, and other artistic creations. In addition to my piano music, and other musical contributions, we experienced an amazing drumming demonstration first hand.
So much fun, emotional, and powerful as well.
Of course, working out the complications of puzzles was on the list. How could it not be? The puzzle theme is everywhere at P4.
OH, and we found a talented, new PUZZLE QUEEN! My title has been officially handed over to someone much more qualified at puzzling. 🙂

And of course, if I’m involved, there are gonna be some fuzzy animal critters around. We had an interesting visit with Apollo the little black pug. It was good to learn more about Emotional Support Animals.
Little Apollo was quite young, and a little noisy (and protective!) when the lunch folks arrived with our boxed lunches provided by Physicians Research Group. However, many of us truly enjoyed his presence in the Room even though he had a lot to say.
We had giggles. We had fun.
We had stressful moments. We had serious moments.
There were up’s and down’s, just same as life. Was everything perfect? Of course not! But we hung in there and battled through the bumpy bits. Was it wonderful and worth it? ABSOLUTELY!
THANK YOU to everyone at MetroNBI for the hours and hours and hours of dedication and hard work.

Personally, I cannot wait to have P4 DID Conference-2.
After such an amazing experience, and the full-on learning curve created in P4 DID Conference 2020, there is no doubt that P4 DID Conference 2021 will be even better.
Will we do it again? hmmmm, what do you think?
Should there be a P4 DID Conference, 2021 ?
