Yes, a live, in-person, weekend DID Conference

in Phoenix Arizona

with Kathy Broady from Discussing Dissociation

August 28-30, 2020

  REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Click here to REGISTER for P4

Oh, there is so much to tell you about this upcoming event.  I will just hit the highlights for now, so you can start thinking about this opportunity to learn more about DID.  You can attend this conference for a single day, or for the whole weekend.  August is not that far away, so if you are interested in attending this conference, you can start planning now.

Day-1 is planned to teach mental health professionals about working with DID.

Day-2 is planned specifically for DID survivors about living with DID.

Friday, August 28:   Meet and Greet

Friday evening, as folks arrive in Phoenix, we would love to meet you before all the big conference talks begin.  At our Meet and Greet, we will have some entertainment, snacks, and a wonderful display of Artwork, specifically artwork related to trauma survivors.  And if I have anything to do with this, we’ll also have artwork created by dissociative survivors.

If you want to attend any of the weekend workshops, your Artwork could be selected to go on display, should you be interested in sharing your art for others to see.    Please contact Alex from Discussing Dissociation for more information.

Saturday, August 29:   Teaching Mental Health Professionals about trauma and dissociation.

Most of this day’s presentations, will be me, Kathy, speaking to therapists, counselors, psychiatric nurses, psychologists, and other MHP’s about DID, how to recognize DID, how to work with dissociative clients, how to speak with inside parts, etc.

Also, on Saturday, we are fortunate to have another presenter.  Dr. Amezcua-Patino is a psychiatrist who specializes in how trauma effects the brain.  He will be presenting some wonderful and helpful information as well.  This sounds pretty awesome!

Dr. Lauro Amezcua-Patino, MD is a board-certified Psychiatrist who is the Medical Director and President of Metro NBI. Dr. Amezcua-Patino is currently the Medical Director of Oasis Behavioral Health Hospital in Chandler, AZ, and he has over 25 years of clinical and administrative experience in Arizona. Dr. Amezcua-Patino has been involved with various community health organizations both as a consultant and director. He has also served on various professional organizations and is currently a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. His conference presentation highlights how trauma effects the brain and how neuropsychological testing and the use of Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) “Brain Mapping” assists in diagnosis and treatment.

Sunday, August 30:   A Full Day Workshop for DID survivors with Kathy Broady, MSW

hmmmmm, what will I do for a whole day with a group of DID survivors?  I have so many thoughts about that!

I have all kinds of ideas, but if YOU have an idea, feel free to comment below, or send an email with your thoughts.

Yes, mental health professionals are invited to attend this day as well.  Please know that the focus will be on what dissociative trauma survivors need to know or learn.   However, watching me interact comfortably with a room full of dissociative survivors may provide some inspiration for you as well.

Individual Consultations with Kathy Broady

I will be making the time to meet with people on an individual level in Phoenix, for several days after the Conference, August 31 – Sept 3 (or so).    These Consultations can be for Mental Health Providers, for DID survivors, or for supportive loved ones.

You are now able to schedule these Consultation Appointment times ahead of time.  Please contact Alex from Discussing Dissociation for more information.
