Almost 10 Years! Almost a Forum! A fantastic month planned for Discussing Dissociation!

Sharing the good news about fantastic plans for Discussing Dissociation!

Hello hello!

This will probably be a very quick post.   But I wanna give you an update, and I need to be fast.

I have gotten used to this kind of mess — but of course — I am having internet issues on the days leading up to the 10th Year Happy Day!  Seriously?!   We have a fantastic month planned here!  But alas… on a literal technical level, my internet connectivity has been broken broken and bizarre this week.  It’s been way more “off” than “on” for days, so it’s been very difficult to get on here this week.  My apologies to you all!  I haven’t been away on purpose — it’s been enormously frustrating.

Why does technology choose to raise its complicated head during these important times?!!   😕

I had plans to send all kinds of emails, and do all kinds of fun stuff  — so please bear with me.  I’ll get as much done as I can, even with this bumpy internet connection.  The repair technician comes tomorrow, so hopefully, that will be the end of this week of very limited internet.

Doesn’t my internet provider know it’s an important week for Discussing Dissociation!?!?!!  And I need to be PRESENT for it, for goodness sakes!   We’ve got BIG DAYS ahead!

Not only are we having our 10th Year Happy Day… but the Forum is getting so so so so close to be ready!

I’ll be sending out an email update to those who signed up for the Early Bird Forum Notification list.   (As SOON as I CAN, of course.)  Those folks get to hear the Forum news first… so if you haven’t signed up for that list, it’s not too late yet.

Happy! Excited! YAY!!!

But really… the Discussing Dissociation Community Forum is looking good and I am so so so excited to see it coming together.

I’m just about to do another happy dance…  soon, soon, soon!

Let’s keep making Discussing Dissociation the very best online DID support community possible!

And now… I’m gonna go write an email to the Early Bird Forum Folks.  Hopefully my internet will stay connected long enough for me to do that!

I hope you’re having a good day.

And as always, I wish you and all your insiders the very best in your healing journey.

May I offer a suggestion!!? Can you date replies? Don’t know as I read thru posts if I would be replying to a post made this morning or years/ months ago. Content & info still helpful.

Same for you as it is for me… technology always seems to act up just when you need it most 🤨
Hope things get better fast and everything gets fixed.

    AND…. I’m BACK !!!

The technician guy spent hours with me, fixing this, and fixing that. He even drove down the road fixing a few other internet connector places (don’t know the terms). Whatever he did, it worked, and thank goodness. Because, yep, ever since then, my internet has stayed on perfectly! SO HAPPY!!

Five days without reliable internet drove me nuts, but all is well now — I’m just behind by a few miles. However, I’m still happy today — my internet seems to be working better and faster than ever.

    AS IT SHOULD!!

Okay — now … back to what I was supposed to be writing days ago…… 🙂

Thank YOU for your participation, especially while I was struggling to be here!

We have such a wonderful community here. I really, really appreciate you all.

    Warmly,

    Kathy

Welcome back We do understand the technical issues We’re waiting for my daughter from Illinois to come out here to New England so she can fix my desktop once again. We have access to Internet on our phone, Kindal, and laptop. I just preferred the desktop over all of them. Sissy like the phone Baby likes the kindal and Jessie like the laptop. All the other don’t have a preference . I feel like that’s because they don’t use it like the rest of us do, I just used it to email Belinda and to read your blog
So not only am I happy to see her for Christmas but also to get my desktop working again.

We’re glad your Internet is back, Kathy! Happy December 4th–10 year anniversary!!!

We are moving in 9 days, and there’s only us to pack a 2 person household up with 10 years accumulated stuff. Our friend, L’s partner, is mobility disabled and can’t help with the packing. 🙁 It’s crazy here, and we’re exhausted a lot. But the 10-year anniversary is exciting !

That’s all we wanted to say.
