It’s Thanksgiving Day in the USA. That gives me one more reason to say…. it’s a good day to be thankful for all the changes that have been made around here at Discussing Dissociation.
I am THANKFUL for …..
T — Thankful for YOU, for coming here to read
H — Happy about having a new web platform where new opportunities are now possible
A — Appreciation for the patience shown by the readers here – it’s been a long wait !
N — New blog platform ! New blog platform ! New blog platform !
K — Kerry, The Blog Mechanic — her expertise, technical skills, patience, and knowledge
F — Finding ways to use pictures and images to demonstrate Dissociative Identity Disorder
U — Understanding how this blog can be unlimited, unblocked, uncluttered, unique and unlock all kinds of new potential
L — Learning loads of new information about how to improve this blog
There really is so much more to do in terms of blog improvements, but I am incredibly thankful this much progress has been made.
And now… because of this new platform, there are so many new opportunities ahead.
Thank you for your kindness and patience during this transformation process….
Warmly,
Kathy

Kathy, I am so grateful for you! When the word dissociation first came to my attention in January of this year, I was so anxious, fearful and feeling lost and alone. I went to the computer and typed the word in and in just a few clicks, I found you! I didn’t know if I had DID or not, but I found so much comfort in your articles.
You are a talented writer. And a gifted therapist and thinker. Your articles are precious treasures and your site is a treasure trove for us. Please don’t change that.
Thanks to you, I found some relief and comfort in knowing that, in fact, I do have DID. You helped me find out what the body memories were about. You helped me get to know my system. You have been my shining light in this darkness.
I am so, so grateful for you – for your courage and compassion to write and publish these articles. To be able to pour out so much love through your writing is an incredible gift. You have and continue to teach me so much about this world. Thank you.
Happy Thanksgiving! we are so thankful for your website and for you! There is so much information here and the littles love your stories. They also like you bunches because of your playful way at times. Thank you for all you do as an amazing helper!
Thank you, Gelsey,
And Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
I know I’m a day late, but we just had our big Thanksgiving Day dinner today (Friday) instead of Thursday because we were all wiped out by Texas allergies and feeling sick on Thursday. I’ve always taught the kids that it’s okay to make our OWN plans, so we decided to wait a day when everyone was more rested. Good thing too — I needed all the energy I could get and I spent all day cooking and then there was some version of clean up afterwards, of course (the not as fun part of an otherwise great day, lol)
However….. I appreciate your comment, but the SILLY award this year goes to my daughter who was courageous enough to wear the Turkey Onesie that I got for her. Talk about silly…. :).
I think that Turkey Onesie might have to become an annual tradition…. !!!
Love it! 🙂
Hope you had a great day doing something fun too. 🙂
Warmly,
Kathy
I simply have no words for how thankful I am for this place and for Kathy and this community.
I was so confused and desperate when I came here. I was so overwhelmed. Being able to connect with others has reduced my fear so much. I don’t feel so alone.
This place has become my safe place. I so appreciate all of Kathy’s work and look forward to hearing more from Laura. (Is she still here? She seems to have gone quiet…maybe holidays?) I come here at least twice a day. I have my morning coffee here and I check back in before I go to sleep. There is always something new to read.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone and a special thanks to Kathy for building this wonderful place, for her knowledge and compassion and all the time and effort spent to create this place.
I want to know what this means….” there are so many new opportunities ahead.” What do you have up your sleeve??? 🙂
Hi Wren,
Thank you for SO many beautiful comments — this one, and so many of the other things you’ve written here. Your participation here has helped to make this blog even more alive, and that really means a lot to me as well.
I’m glad you stayed — I remember when you were overwhelmed at first, and ready to walk away, but thank goodness you stuck it out, and thank you, ME+WE for your kind help and support at that time as well.
I do hope everyone has had a Happy Thanksgiving.
And YES !! YES !! YES !!! I do have some very exciting things “up my sleeve” !!! I’m hoping that a few more of those plans will be put into action sooner than later. I’m very particular at putting things together, so I’m slow doing it because I’m so picking about getting things right, but yes !!!
I have plans I hope to share with you all soon. All things for the good, of course. 🙂
Cheers,
Kathy
Thank you so much, Kathy. Your words warmed my heatr. And many thanks absolutely to ME+WE who did so much to help me find my way here and not give up.
I love how interactive this place is. Even in the short time I’ve been here I see people connecting more and more.
I’m looking forward to the new things you have up your sleeve!
